Poverty is not simply a local issue.  We work to address the deep global needs of the world through a combination of funding and personal involvement.

·       We work with a cluster of villages in Nicaragua and CEPAD, an ecumenical Christian development organization, to support them with a bi-annual mission trip, funding for development projects, and personal connections.  Some past project examples are water purification, construction of school classrooms, erosion control and fruit trees that provide an income to farmers. Education is an important part of our mission. We provide teaching materials and school supplies to the local schools.

·       We participate in the United Church of Christ’s One Great Hour of Sharing that provides funding for economic and social development, disaster relief and refugee assistance.  We give special support to the UCC’s Global Ministries organization to support missionaries and other assistance to people and churches around the world.

·       Our CROP walk volunteers raised over $2,000 in the Indianapolis CROP walk in the fall. CROP Hunger Walks occur annually and raise funds to end hunger locally and around the world.

·       We support a child in an orphanage in India
